Who We Are
A good deal is known about the New Retirement—by academics.
The New Retirement, compared to the expectations of yesteryear, is likely to be longer, more self-funded by retirees, involve work, likely to be healthier. And yet, it often will also be subject to managing costly healthcare and even caring for parents in declining financial and physical health.
Longer and healthier seems good; managing and costly, not so much.
Beyond academia, many providers of retirement information and advice are heavily conflicted: They have a product to sell. When one has a hammer, everything starts to look like a nail.
The New Retirement Forum™ is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing academic knowledge of the New Retirement to the Forum of those needing that information, without conflicts or products, and in forms actually usable by those in need.
